Who Is Eligible
If You Die
If you are eligible for coverage under the Program when you die (as either an active employee or a retiree) your spouse/domestic partner who is eligible for coverage can commence or continue coverage under the Program. Your surviving spouse/domestic partner may commence or continue coverage, regardless of whether he or she remarries or becomes eligible for coverage under another employer’s plan.
However, if you have not enrolled in the Program prior to your death, your surviving spouse/domestic partner must enroll.
