Election Procedure

Under the law, to continue coverage, you and your continuation coverage beneficiary have 60 days from the later of the:

Date you ordinarily would have lost coverage because of one of the qualifying events described above; or

Date the notice of your and your continuation coverage beneficiary’s right to elect continuation coverage is sent by the COBRA administrator.

If you and/or your continuation coverage beneficiary does not choose continuation coverage within this 60-day period, your and/or your continuation coverage beneficiary’s coverage under the Program will end.
